The story of Bruce Fuels is as much a story about Ottawa as it is about our company. Bruce Fuels has it's roots planted
firmly in this region's growth between the two world wars. Originally a coal merchant, Reg Bruce began building a small
empire based on the belief that if he were an active member of the Ottawa community, that he would in turn be rewarded for his
efforts.
As a testiment to his hard work, Both a conservation area and a residential community in Ottawa's west end bear his name. At one time
Reg Bruce's holdings included hotels, restaurants, construction assets and of course the backbone of his business, Bruce Fuels. As time
passed and the economic landscape changed, Reg shed most of his companies to concentrate on fuel. After retirement, the business was run
by son in law Grant McDonald, and is now under the capable management of Grandson Reid McDonald.
